Benjamin Zander: The Transformative Power of Classical Music
If you haven’t found TED yet, you need to today. Just click on the link. I really can’t begin to describe the breadth of knowledge, insight, and inspiration that can be gained while watching the videos and reading the blog articles. But beware: you can get lost in it all! My friend and colleague, Eric Swanson, has spent time this year watching one TED video each day (on average, anyway). You can learn some of his preliminary findings here.
This video by Benjamin Zander is one of my favorites. It hits me on so many levels: as a husband, a father, and a leader. Watch this video and reflect on the questions below:
What About You?
- What are the “big ideas” that stand out to you from this video?
- How would your leadership be different if you focused more on awakening potential in others rather than relying on your own strength?
- How would YOU be different if you believed everyone loved what you have to offer, they just didn’t know it yet?
- What are the most important ‘eyes’ in your life that should be shining? Are they? Who is it that you are being when they aren’t?
