Time for a Reboot?
Today marks the final day of my pre-summer 10-day cleanse. Over the past several weeks, the effects of all the junk in some of the stuff
It only took about 3 days to begin feeling the positive effects of the cleanse. Right away the sluggishness subsided, the unhealthy cravings dissipated, and I could sense my metabolism beginning to ramp back up. This round I didn’t experience any headaches or other ‘withdrawal’ symptoms from sugar. It was a simple, pleasant, and quite frankly, fulfilling experience. And while this wasn’t the
goal, I was impressed to see that I lost 7 pounds over the 10-day detox! we eat, despite our best efforts to be vigilant (and some occasional willful indulgences!), had become increasingly evident. My wife and I both commented on how we began to feel sluggish, experiencing uneven levels of energy throughout the day. We truly looked forward to the opportunity to ‘reboot’ our systems again. At the end of the 10 days, we were not disappointed!
This cleanse routine will now be a regular part of our health and wellness routine. We will make it a habit to detox 2-3 times a year. If you aren’t making the time to reset your system, perhaps its time for a reboot.Image Credit: www.flickr.com
